Fishing Competition

Saturday morning kicks off with one of Juksastevnet’s all-time favorites: the traditional fishing competition in Toppsundet! But it’s not just about the biggest fish – there’s also a special category for catching the legendary Grytøy fish, which requires a mix of luck and finesse.

There is one shared category for the Grytøy Fish, open to both children and adults. For the biggest catch, there are separate classes for kids and grown-ups. There will also be prize draws among all participants, and special awards may be given for outstanding or creative fishing efforts. The prize ceremony will take place in the Art Café afterwards – with a good dose of humor!

Registration takes place at the harbor on Friday evening between 8:00–9:00 PM and on Saturday morning between 8:30–9:30 AM.

Departure is at 9:30 AM and all participants must return to shore by 12:00 noon at the latest.

Activities for Children & Adults

10:00 - 16:00

Grilled food and drinks will be served in the harbor area as the boats come in with the day’s catch. There will be competitions and activities for children and adults with a maritime theme, related to fishing and coastal traditions. Horseback riding will also be available.

Kunstkafe med utsøkte kake og vakker kunst

10:00 - 16:00

Velkommen til Kunstkaféen under årets Juksastevne! Lundenes sanitetsforening sørger for en hyggelig og smakfull opplevelse med et aldeles utsøkt kakebord i skolens gymsal. Her kan du sette deg ned med en kopp kaffe, nyte deilige kaker og samtidig oppleve en spennende kunstutstilling med lokale og regionale kunstnere.

Blant kunstverkene kan du oppleve fem malerier av Svein Arild Berntsen, som i flere år bodde på Bjarkøya. I tillegg vises det hele tolv bilder av Trude Lind Odtedal, og vi håper også å få med et par verk av Kari Rindahl Endresen.

Det blir også presentert noen verk av kjente navn som Jan Harr, Karl Erik Harr, og flere andre kunstnere. I tillegg stilles det ut stemningsfulle panoramabilder av vakre Grytøya – et lite blikk inn i den nordnorske naturens storhet.

Juksafest organized by Bjarkøy Events

It’s time for the Juksastevnet Party at the youth center in Lundenes! We promise great music and a fantastic atmosphere all evening long.

Beer, wine, coffee, and soft drinks for sale – plus light food service.

18+ age limit. Entry fee: NOK 250.

9:00 PM – Doors and bar open

10:00 PM – 11:15 PM: TBA

11:30 PM – 2:00 AM: Kurtis Myhre

2:00 AM – The bar closes and doors shut.
